Authorities say remains found in Van Buren County may be those of missing Batesville man, Barry Treadway.

BATESVILLE, Ark. — Authorities say skeletal remains found in Van Buren County may be that of a Batesville man who’s been missing for nearly a month.

Van Buren County Sheriff Scott Bradley told. That the body believed to be 27-year-old Barry Treadway was found Saturday. Treadway has been missing since July 19.

Bradley says the body was found in a very remote area of the county about seven miles from where Treadway’s car was found July 25 with a flat tire on Highway 27 near the town of Tilly.

Bradley said a positive identification of the remains could take weeks.
